There is a pipe that goes down into the DPF tank with 2 metal rods (sensors) on it. One goes down to about the 2 gal mark (Low DPF) and the other is about at the 4 gal area. I discovered this when I pulled my tank off. Just put 5 gals in and it should reset. The tank, when filled to the absolute top in just over 6 gals.I have a totally stock 2017 2500 that has about 44k miles. I am so frustrated with the whole BlueTec Adblue situation - remaining starts countdown, engine warning lights, etc. etc. I recently spent a fortune replacing the heater and the pump. Now they want to replace the whole tank.There is no reset for the DEF fluid, if your seeing the message you will need to make sure you have at least 2.5 gal of DEF and then if you still have the message then there is an issue in which you will need a scantool to retrieve the codes from the Dosing Control Unit(DCU) and the ECM.

Having trouble filling the DEF tank. Fill speed was reasonable 1st couple times (fill nozzle on 1st notch). Now it stops with the slightest flow. Fill rate is now .6 gpm (8 min to fill the tank). Have only found 1 station that you can slow the pump down far enough to not shut off. Dealership is saying that is normal, you have to fill from a box.
