To get around the problem of cost, I used the quartzite only on the island and then a blue stone (which is a flat black) on the perimeter which helped with the overall cost. As a result the quartzite really pops. I then used biltmore from the tile store on the backsplash which closely matches the sea pearl quartzite which I did in a honed finish.
